Mike Morgan put in a lot of work to produce a very interesting analysis of where we are today. Here are a couple of excerpts:
Looks like most are still in SD (54%). I also wondered what states are underrepresented by the class of 71. The states Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia have none (15). New Mexico, Illinois, Georgia, Idaho, New York, Washington, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Nevada, Oregon, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Montana, Kansas, Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, New Jersey, Kentucky, Alaska, Maryland are the states with 3 or less (23). On the other end of things, if you go with this definition of underrepresented, then the class of 71 did not like 76% of the other states? (I know…).
